Two of my faves on this comp: Paul Kelly and Bap Kennedy. I wouldn't call either of them alt-country tho. But that's OK, just glad you're spreading the word.
I'll give you Paul Kelly as a stretch, but Bap - at least his first three albums - belongs in the alt-country tent. After all, his second album was a bunch of Hank Williams covers. But always trying to spread the gospel of Paul Kelly and Bap and always happy to preach to that gospel. :)
