So is it just me or is Bill Lloyd's Set to Pop the perfect song to start a power pop comp (it's off the album of the same name, btw)? Volume Two of Give More Power Pop to the People is now available, so I'll let you decide.

Thanks man, looks like another great comp! I liked the Damnations too.
@Jerry Lee,
I dunno why, but I prefer Volume two to Volume one - maybe it's just that Volume two has Marshall Crenshaw's Cynical Girl. (And the Damnations were a great band! If you haven't yet, check out their debut - Half Mad Moon!
Very nice, thanks, and can't go wrong with the inclusion of some better known artists [for example XTC whose "Stupidly Happy" is ingrained in my brain as it's used in a tv ad in the UK - stick that one in your next comp and see!]
@anonymous,
I'm pretty familiar with XTC's hits (or semi-hits), but I really need to go deeper into their catalog.
Still as good my friend!
Congratulations.
Being a sucker for excellent power pop,i just picked your 2 compilations.
Listening to luminaries such as Dwight Twilley or Marshall Crenshaw always drives me nuts!

@Antoine,
Thanks! Hope you like the other cuts as well.
Give more power pop to US. Love volumes 1 and 2. Would like more.
