Married to the Mob and Something Wild Soundtracks

So, tonight I decided to post some out of print 80s soundtracks from Jonathan Demme films - Something Wild and Married to the Mob. The former is the better movie, but I think the latter has a slightly better soundtrack (if perhaps only by virtue of its inclusion of Brian Eno's version of You Don't Miss Your Water.) Also, since I burned Married to the Mob from my vinyl version, there may be a few pops and crackles.

Loco De Amor (Crazy For Love) David Byrne & Celia Cruz
Ever Fallen In Love Fine Young Cannibals
Zero, Zero Seven Charlie UB40
With Or Without You Steve Jones

Man With A Gun Jerry Harrison
Temptation New Order
Wild Thing Sister Carol

Liar Liar Deborah Harry

I've got the "Wild Thing" soundtrack just for the title track by Sister Carol. Love the movie, neutral on the soundtrack.

@Don,
When I was watching Something Wild a few years ago, I was actually struck by how good the film score is (Laurie Anderson and John Cale). It gets a little lost amongst all the other music, but I think it really adds to the movie.

Too bad the Something Wild soundtrack didn't include The Feelies performances as The Willies seen during the high school reunion scenes in the film. Their cover versions are worth watching. Johnathan Deme, a big Feelies fan, wanted to film a live Feelies show like his Neil Young and Talking Heads films, but unfortuneately got too involved with other projects before they broke up in the early 1980s.

While it's hard to imagine the real life Feelies ever playing a high school reunion, they are really great in the film. I especially love their cover of Fame.

Does it have the business lady song?

@anonymous,

Do you mean the Sister Carol song at the end of the movie (as the credits roll). If so, yes. :)

@anonymous,

It should still be active - the link still works for me and it was downloaded four days ago. Or was the problem with the actual music files?

Your right it is working. It was one of my ad blockers causing the problem (I have too many of them). Thanks for the great albums!!!
