It's probably best not to spend too much time comparing the soul music of the last 35 years to classic soul (I'd call it the period from the early 60s to the mid 70s, but that's just me) mostly because you just sound like an old crank. Since I probably sound like an old crank a lot more than I think, I think it's best, then, to just groove (as we used to say in the 70s) to all the good soul since the early 80's. As for the comps below, I tried to stay from those artists who were classic soul stars and still recording in the 80s, 90s, or 00s, but I couldn't help myself and had to include a track from Al Green. (I defend its inclusion on the grounds that it's a duet with Corinne Bailey Rae.)

Nicely done. Some timeless new beats.
@Daniel,
Quite welcome. I tried to get a mix of revivalist stuff and material that's a little more eclectic.
You should never have to defend yourself about including any Al Green track anywhere, anyhow, anytime! And it's a cool version with Ms Bailey Rae. Good selection, nice mix, many thanks!
Oh hell yeah! Very nice. Worked my groove out with these tracks and left me with some for Volume 2. Dayyum!! Whew! And Rev. Green works at any OHcassion, sir.
