Bedazzled by Dexter Romweber

     I really don't like to harp on how underappreciated certain musicians are, but....., well, it does seem unfair that Dex Romweber has never achieved greater fame - whether it be with the Flat Duo Jets, as a solo act, or now with his sister Sara in the Dex Romweber Duo (who have put out two really good albums on Bloodshot, btw).  So what better way to start the new year than with an homage to dear Dex?

p.s. He's still got it live, too. :)

DEX and SARA are local heroes here in the Triangle, and you're right, it's a wonder they're not know nationally or even internationally... I can think of many acts that don't have the intense, sometimes raw, sometimes so saavy music drive.
Hey, they didn't say LIFE IS FAIR. Sometimes it's stormy, or just hot, and hazy.
Anyway, I guess Dex would be happy to know that you care enough to be a pal and put a bunch of his stuff together on your great blog.
Maybe folks will check out his great bunch of stuff...
By the way, I'm a newbie here... you haven't gotten into S.C.O.T.S. = Southern Culture on the Skids?
They are nearly mainstream now...
Well, anyway, thanks for the work and great selections. You got smart ears.

@Den,

I was actually just listening to their live album - live at Third Man Records - last week. Really good live album.
I've heard a little of SCOTS and liked most of it, but I keep forgetting to dig deeper.
