I was listening to the Billie Holiday - Elis Regina comp I made last year (which you can still download) a while ago and, well, I thought it'd be nice to have another volume. Score one for niceness. :)

Hello,
I've just recently found your fine blog and all your interests really confirm your free-range diversity and good taste.
I don't think I've ever seen these two ladies of song done together... more inventive than "the it girls of country and rock" Chrissy Hynde and Emmylou Harris redux... Hey, that's a great idea too! Just sayin'
Elis Regina is special in Brazilian song, perhaps the two had early tragedy, that is, Elis and Lady Day. SO THANX and I'm pleasantly surprised by this fine group.
Hey, this morning, by chance, I'm listening to a jazz singer I just recently found... Britta Rex. She's got good pipes, inventive approach, pretty word driven, and good sound, with a great backup band, excellent arrangements, on a disc called "Traces of Life" , I recommend if you haven't heard. Sorry if you got her here already and I don't know. I'm still finding my way in your vast estate.

Den,
Hey, glad you like it - and I must admit to patting myself back a little when I came up with the pairing. :)
Haven't heard of Britta Rex, but will definitely check her stuff out.
