I Was a 90s Indie Goddess

Last week the NY Times published a piece about overly nostalgic 20somethings - with an emphasis on their undying love for Harry Potter. The author also cited as proof the success of Britney Spears last tour, as well as the recent reunions of Blink 182, Limp Bizkit, and Creed. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that nostalgic 20somethings have been around for quite a while. More importantly- couldn't the author have found someone nostalgic for 90s indie rock???

So, in that spirit, I give to you "I Was a 90s Indie Goddess- Volumes 1 and 2" featuring Liz Phair, Juliana Hatfield, Belly, Kristin Hersh, The Breeders, and Mazzy Star. And feel free to engage in as much (or as little) nostalgia as you please.

@anonymous - Gotta confess I was more into the alt-country side of the 90s indie scene so I'm not all that familiar with most of the bands you listed. But if you decide to make a comp, I'd be happy to post the link here.....

I am so pleased!! I played a show in Boston a couple weeks ago and brought up Juliana Hatfield to some girls ...who didn't know who I was talking about. Aw, these ladies got me started playing guitar. Throw some Velocity Girl and Magna Pop in there too!
