     It was often said in the 1980s that the Velvet Underground sold very few albums, but everyone who bought one formed their own band.  Consequently, for a band with a relatively limited output, there are a lot of great covers.  Here's seventeen of them to enjoy on lazy Fall Sunday mornings.

I like all of 'em, but I do agree that the Feelies cut is particularly inspired.
